Living and Dying

Visiting London in November 2010 I was very amazed by the exhibition “Living and Dying” in the British Museum. A bit more vivid than the world famous mummies there. Mostly impressed I was by the coffins of Ghana. There people get burried in whatever they like. Subsequently they are partying to celebrate that they managed it.

Obviously there are recent cultural adaptions in several material and prize classes globally availabe. What a wonderful contrast program to the rising number of discount funerals in some cultures.

Regarding my person, I had many funerals in my family and was always regretting that we are not living in Italy, due to their stone tombs. Just because I did not want them to be eaten up by insects. But of course, there is also a competition for cemetaries.
